The Landless People's Movement's Bernadus Swartbooi has expressed disappointment with the National Assembly, stating that it fails to embody a democratic space rooted in values and virtues. 

Swartbooi questioned whether the issues debated truly reflect the serious demands of and for the people.

The Minister of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism (MEFT) has called on traditional leaders to be mindful of the Environmental Management Act when allocating land.

President of the Landless People's Movement, Bernadus Swartbooi, urged the party to strive to secure the majority of the 96 seats in the National Assembly to bring about necessary changes in the country and further restore the dignity of citizens.
