The Environmental Investment Fund (EIF) has approved 26 institutional grants worth more than N$3,7 million, benefiting individuals across various priority sectors.

Of the approved grants, 8 are youth-led projects and 11 are female-led.

Leaders of the Southern African Development Community (SADC), including Namibia's President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, are holding a Virtual Extraordinary Summit of SADC Heads of State and Government to elect an interim chairperson of the regional grouping.

The development of the National Digital Monitoring and Evaluation dashboard is at an advanced stage.

The dashboard will enable real-time performance tracking, improved data access and enhanced evidence-based decision-making across government institutions. 

Despite being banned, the United Democratic Party (UDP) has repeated a call for the Zambezi Region to secede from Namibia. 

UDP members marched to the Zambezi governor's office on Wednesday to submit a petition, stating the demand for secession. 

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has announced additional appointments to the Presidential Task Forces, building on members named in recent announcements, as part of efforts to enhance their effectiveness.
