Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare reminded the investors that health is a human right and not a luxury commodity. 

Dr Ngurare, who was speaking at the inauguration of a private health facility, Kaisosi Medical Services, urged staff to structure their services in a manner that caters to everyone in Rundu. 

A group of concerned Keetmanshoop residents protested against the municipality over alleged poor governance, financial mismanagement, nepotism, corruption and poor service delivery.

Kavango East Swapo Party Councillor Andreas Jikerwa has been sworn in as the Mayor of Rundu, deputised by Regina Nekare, also from the same party.

Governor of the Kavango East Region, Hamunyera Hambyuka, is unhappy with the material being used to construct the Ndiyona-Djaradjara road in the Ndiyona Constituency.

Phase 1 of the 35-kilometre Ndiyona-Djaradjara road started in November 2026 and was expected to be completed in 10 months.

The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture's (MEIYSAC) Deputy Executive Director Edda Bohn stated that the Promotion Policy remains unchanged when referring to the national Promotion Policy document.
