Miss Earth Namibia jets off to Asia

Miss Earth Namibia Martha Kautanevali has jetted off to Asia, where she will be representing the country at the 23rd Miss Earth competition slated for December 22 in Vietnam.

A throng of family, friends, and supporters escorted her to the Hosea Kutako International Airport to wish her well.

Among the well-wishers was Miss Namibia Organisation's Chief Executive Officer, Umbi Karuaihe-Upi.

Kautanevali says that she is ready to represent Namibia at the competition.

World Pangolin Day celebrated to raise awareness

Miss Earth Namibia Diana Andimba and the Pangolin Conservation and Research Foundation celebrated World Pangolin awareness day.

The day aimed at raising awareness and money towards an emergency pangolin veterinary care fund to rescue pangolins and stand against pangolin trafficking.

World Pangolin Day is an opportunity to raise awareness about the unique mammals and their plight.

The species are known as the guardians of the forest because they protect forests from termite destruction, maintaining a balanced ecosystem.
