Participants at the regional consultation on the revised National Policy on Sustainable Tourism Development have called for stronger implementation mechanisms, greater community involvement and improved law enforcement within Namibia's tourism sector.

Affirmative Repositioning MP Ester Haikola is calling on the Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sport, Arts, and Culture to avoid rushed and inadequate training as it rolls out new educational campaigns.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says the new Cabinet members have been duly assigned to their tasks and that every project under implementation will be closely monitored and evaluated regularly, starting within the next three months.

The Director in the Office of the National Council's Chairperson, Petrus Kavhura, has urged the government to act on the resolutions passed by the Junior National Council MPs.

Kavhura emphasised the importance of these resolutions and how they should guide future actions.

The Director of Decentralization Coordination in the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development Godwin Sikabongo acknowledged that the implementation of the policy was progressing at an unsatisfactory pace. 

Sikabongo attended the dialogue as a representative of the Deputy Premier.
