The Namibia National Olympic Committee has announced a 39-member delegation for the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, taking place from 23 July to 2 August, with several notable athletes absent from the team selected to represent the country.

Namibia's para athletics community gathered at Independence Stadium on Friday for a fundraising event aimed at supporting athletes preparing for international competitions, including the Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.

Team Namibia returned home today after competing in the 12th edition of the World Para Athletics Championships, hosted in New Delhi, India, from the 27th of September to the 5th of October 2025.

Three Namibians were recently announced as nominees for the African Union Sport Council Region 5 Regional Annual Sport Awards (RASA).

The Namibia Annual Sport Awards took place on Saturday night, with Veja Hinda, Vera Loser and Ananias Shikongo among the big winners of the night.
