Namibia has called for stronger solidarity among developing countries and reform of the global political and economic system as the Non-Aligned Movement commemorates its 65th anniversary.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says Namibia does not forget countries and movements that supported Namibia's liberation struggle.

She emphasised that the country's independence was built on global solidarity. 

The Pan African Women's Organisation (PAWO) has strongly condemned the United States government's latest sanctions against Cuba, describing it as a deliberate attempt to destabilise Cuba.
