Kati FM too joined in on the celebrations of the 35th anniversary of the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation, roping in some of its retired veteran presenters. 

Kati FM has remained central to Namibian people, drawing in scores of listeners and taking second spot in listenership following National FM. 

Staff from the Nwanyi FM station in the Zambezi region commemorated the day with former staff members and members of the public.

Veteran studio producer Martin Mombela, who started with NBC in 1991 when it was still called SWABC, said through the transition, the radio's impact grew in the community.

The NBC's Nwanyi FM radio station celebrated this year's 'World Radio Day' by having its programmes hosted by the station's veteran employees. 

The programmes showcased radio's role in uniting communities, fostering education, and promoting resilience worldwide. 

nbc !Ah Radio Senior Producer, Willie Naka, was laid to rest at Sagmeel village, 70 km from Tsumkwe.

Speaking at the funeral service, Deputy Minister of Marginalised Communities, Royal |Ui|o|o, said Naka was a producer who presented Indigenous people well on the radio.
