The Namibia Statistics Agency (NSA) is in the Kunene Region to share statistics on the Namibian economy with the region's residents.

Kunene Governor Marius Sheya says land reform is crucial for equitable land distribution, addressing historical injustice, and promoting sustainable agriculture and rural development.

He made this remark in his State of the Region Address.

Health and Social Services Minister, Dr. Kalumbi Shangula, has applauded the Kunene Region for making great strides towards its elimination of malaria, although the disease remains a threat in the country.

The Directorate of Veterinary Services has issued an urgent notification to farmers regarding an outbreak of lung sickness in Opuwo Urban, Kunene Region.

State veterinarian Kahepako Mungunda stated that they have recorded eight cases of lung sickness and one death.
