Namibia and the United States of America have been urged to re-invest in ideas that elections are about choices for the electorate and not resort to violence and other distractions.

US Ambassador Randy Berry says this is extremely important as the two countries head to the polls to elect new leadership.

nbc, ECN sensitise Windhoek community to register

Aminuis Constituency registers 71% eligible voters

The Aminuis Constituency in the Omaheke Region has shown some improvement in voter registration, followed by Otjinene and Gobabis.

To date, the Aminuis Constituency has recorded 71% of eligible voters, followed by Otjinene at 70%, while Gobabis stands at 64%.

President Mbumba urges eligible voters to register before deadline

President Nangolo Mbumba has called on eligible voters to utilise the remaining days to register.

This call was amplified by the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology for eligible voters to be able to exercise their civic duties come November 27th.

ECN registers over one million voters

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) has surpassed the one million mark in voter registration.

Those who have not registered yet only have nine days to register, and the date will not be extended.

The general voter registration, which started on the 3rd of June, ends next week Thursday.
