Oshana Governor Hofni Iipinge says his office remains committed to ensuring that senior citizens receive quality services and social support.

Violent crimes, including murders, armed robberies and attempted murders, dominated the country's weekend crime report. 

Police recorded 3 murders, including the killing of a 10-year-old girl in Epako, whose lifeless body was discovered wrapped in a bedsheet at Freedom Square.

 The Minister of Urban and Rural Development (MURD), James Sankwasa, has received the Best Exceptional Achievement in Southern Africa in Housing and Urban Development, 2025, from the Africa Housing Awards.

 He received the award in Abuja, Nigeria, on Friday. 

The Chairperson of the 7th National Council, Lukas Muha, said the swearing-in of the MPs completes the work of Parliament, which had been operating with only the National Assembly in recent weeks. 

Oshana Health Director Johanna Haimene said the region has recorded significant progress in the number of people accessing HIV treatment, whose number currently stands at over 20,000.

23,245 people are currently on HIV treatment, contributing to improved health outcomes and reduced transmission rates.
