Namibia Post and Telecommunications Holdings (NPTH) has donated 22 firearms and a portion of 6 of Farm Hoop 110 in Omitara to the Namibian Police. This donation comes as the company prepares for its pending dismantling, which is expected to be completed by December 31.

The donated property spans nearly 10,000 square meters and includes three buildings that currently serve as accommodation for police members.

"Why we concluded this item is that NPTH is about to dismantle. As you may know, this is a voluntary liquidation of the company, and we are in the process of winding it down. We will address the reasons for this liquidation shortly. At the same time, we wanted to ensure that before we shut our doors, certain items were disposed of in accordance with the board's resolutions and government approval," said NPTH's CEO, Kristofine Naunyango.

The company also provided a renovation plan for the donated land to the police.

Lieutenant General Joseph Shikongo expressed gratitude on behalf of the police force for the donation.

"As an organization, we fully accept this donation, and we assure you that we will not let you down. We will do our utmost to implement the plan. If we need to involve our engineers or other specialists, we are prepared to do so. Although resources may be limited, we will prioritize this donated property."
