In its efforts to eliminate illiteracy in the country, the Ministry of Education, Arts, and Culture, under the adult education section, is hosting a 10-day training for literacy teachers in the Kavango East Region at the Frans Dimbare Youth Centre.
About 36 youth from the six constituencies in the region are taking part in the training.
The aim of the adult education program is to enhance the reading and writing skills of those who drop out of school and those who never got a chance to undergo formal education.
The training will help equip the promoters to deliver on the objectives of the programme.
