More than 130 supplementary voter registration points will be set up across the ||Kharas Region to give prospective voters a chance to register for the upcoming Regional Councils and Local Authorities elections, slated for November.

The supplementary voter registration is to take place from 4 to 19 August. 

This was revealed at a consultative engagement between the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN), political parties and other stakeholders at Keetmanshoop, in the ||Kharas Region. 

The ECN stakeholders' engagement focused on voter education and registration, including integrated mobile voter registration, the voters' registers, and nominations of political candidates, as well as independent candidates vying for political office positions during upcoming elections.
