The Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture, Dino Ballotti, has reiterated the government's endeavour to increase funding and capitalise on the National Youth Service.

Balloti clarified that the National Youth Policy, Vision 2030, NDP 6, and ongoing support to national service and youth development guide this commitment.

"This commitment has over the years enabled the service to steadily increase youth enrolment from 350 recruits in 2023 to 750 recruits in 2024 and today 1,068 recruits in 2025. This remarkable progress is the result of a shared national and deliberate investment in the future of Namibia's youth."

The intake was the largest number of recruits the Service has ever enrolled.
