Competitors taking part in the National Skills Competition currently underway in Swakopmund expressed gratitude for the opportunity to showcase their skills.

They encouraged other young people to explore various opportunities offered in the TVET sector. 

Since the establishment of the National Skills Competition in 2016, it has highlighted the importance of the TVET sector and its potential to contribute to the country's economic development. 

Young people from various vocational training centres are offered an opportunity to compete, network and demonstrate their skills.

Inmates from the Namibia Correctional Service are also participating in various skills trades this year. 

The best competitors in the sixteen trades will represent Namibia in Shanghai, China, next year.
