Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming Otjozondjupa Regional ICT Summit in Education and Exhibitions.
The summit is slated for the 7th to the 10th of October.
The Regional ICT Summit in Education and Exhibitions is a platform to advocate for the integration of ICT in the classrooms. The summit adds value to teachers and learners alike to equip them with skills and knowledge on how to use the ICT devices.
"We want to pull together all the people who are interested in improving our education system, especially by incorporating ICT, because ICT is the best for speeding processes. We want to bring all those people together so we can continue networking and working together to find buttons that we need to press in the country for things to move," said Education Director Gerhard Ndafenongo.
Ndafenongo also invites the industry players to join the summit and exhibit their products and services for teachers to see what the market holds.
The summit also aims at building the capacity of teachers, school managers and education officials so that they are well informed on what the benefits of ICT are.
