The Chinese Ambassador to Namibia, Zhao Weiping, reflected on the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, stating that it was the longest fight against foreign aggression in modern Chinese history, further describing it as a historic turning point, during the 80th Anniversary Photo Exhibition Commemorating the Victory.

Ambassador Zhao noted that this struggle came with great sacrifice but resulted in the Chinese people's first complete victory in national liberation.

It also played a significant role in the global victory against fascism, marking a victory not only for the Chinese people but also for anti-fascist allies and people across the globe who fought together.

Ambassador Zhao, while emphasising the significance of the exhibition, noted that history is to honour the sacrifices made, cherish peace, draw lessons from history, prevent the recurrence of past tragedies, and inspire a yearning for peace.

He emphasised that this history serves as a reminder that unity, discipline, and sacrifice are powerful forces that can overcome even the darkest moments in a just struggle.
