Sensitive election materials for ||Kharas Region have arrived in Keetmanshoop as preparations continue for the Regional Councils and Local Authorities elections set for 26 November.

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) received the materials in the presence of representatives of political entities participating in the elections, and verification followed thereafter.

The materials will be stored at the Keetmanshoop Police Station for safekeeping.

The ECN's Electoral Officer, Jejamaie Mujoro, said that some of the sensitive materials will be dispatched on Thursday to various constituencies and polling stations, where they will remain under strict police guard until election day.
