A 58-year-old truck driver is in stable condition after a truck accident early this morning roughly 30 km from Mariental on the road to Gibeon.

The beer load being transported belongs to WA Fourie Transport. Some bystanders attempted to take items from the scene, but Acting Regional Commander for Hardap, Commissioner John Mwatongwe warned that this is prohibited and can be dangerous.

Motorists are reminded to proceed with caution as recovery efforts continue.
