The leader of the Right to Shelter Foundation of Namibia has promised to improve service delivery, boost the economy, upgrade key infrastructure, and practice good governance once it is elected to power at the Gobabis Town Council.

Addressing their members and sympathisers at Gobabis, the delegates' representative, Wynand Lucas, stressed that the foundation will work hard to build and improve road infrastructure and upgrade electrical and water networks.

"Service delivery for the rural and urban community is to be improved through electrification and water supply, and mostly land and housing are to be distributed equally. The foundation is also contemplating the execution of projects tailored specifically for this community, in addition to offering targeted assistance under the empowerment pillar. We want to discuss the introduction of livelihood projects, which will include establishing community saving loan groups, exploring agricultural programs, and supporting youth through technical vocational training and skills development programmes."

Lucas added that the association will also advocate for transparency, integrity, respect for the rule of law, participation, and accountability, and it will eliminate corruption that hinders development progress at Gobabis municipality.
