The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) and the Namibia Blood Transfusion Service (NAMBTS) have partnered once again for the annual festive season blood drive, urging the public to donate as the demand for blood traditionally increases during this period.
Supervisor for Marketing and Donor Relations at NAMBTS, Arlindo Adriano, said the partnership comes at a critical time, noting that blood is essential in saving lives, especially over the holidays when accidents and medical emergencies tend to spike.
NBC's PR Manager Beulah Boois-Beukes says the corporation is proud to close off the year with its Cares Blood Donation Drive, adding that the initiative remains one of the broadcaster's most impactful community efforts.
The two organisations are calling on all eligible donors to participate in the drive and help ensure sufficient blood supplies throughout the festive season.
