The Namibia Rugby Premier League returns this weekend, with Dolphin Rugby Club set to host United Rugby Club in Swakopmund.

Dolphin Rugby Club Head Coach Hauta Veii says the league break allowed injured players time to recover while keeping the squad active through a tournament hosted by Vikings Rugby Club. While the break was good for player recovery, Veii notes that it affected the team's momentum heading into the second half of the season. He expects a physical match against a strong United side and is calling on Swakopmund supporters to back the team at home.“Our reserve league guys got some game time there, which was very helpful in terms of keeping the club going and keeping the players active during the break. The time was useful for recovering some players who were injured, but in terms of consistency and momentum, we lost a lot of that. This weekend we are playing United. United are in very good form; they've been absolutely clinical against some of the top teams in the league. We're expecting a very tough and physical encounter this Saturday, but we're going to be here at home, so we're hoping that the home crowd will boost us,” Veii said.

Meanwhile, Dolphin player Richard Kasimbu says the team is determined to protect its unbeaten home record this season. Kasimbu adds that the break provided a good opportunity for team bonding, helping strengthen trust and unity within the squad ahead of the league's return.“This weekend is very important to us because, since the league kicked off, we haven't lost a home game. That shows our home advantage is strong, and this Saturday we have to show up and show what we're capable of as a team. It hasn't been easy, but this year we've been improving together as a team. The Swakopmund community shows up, and we're thankful for that. As teammates, the break was also important because we did team bonding,” Kasimbu said.

Dolphins will look to make home advantage count when they take on United in Swakopmund on Saturday.
