President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says the people of Namibia commiserate with those of Zambia on the loss of their former Vice President Guy Scott. 

Dr. Guy Scott may have been long gone following his demise last week and his subsequent burial last Monday, but his legacy lives on. 

Today, President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah visited the Zambian High Commission to Namibia to offer her condolences. 

Speaking after signing a book of condolences for the late former Zambian President on Wednesday, Nandi-Ndaitwah said the people of the two nations will always stand together in good and bad times. 

"On behalf of the government and the people of Namibia, I am here to express our message of condolence to President Hichilema and the people of Zambia and more particularly to the family of former vice president Scott on this loss. Namibia, we know the relationship between our two countries, and also Vice President Scott has contributed during his tenure being in the office, and your loss is our loss, but we have to appreciate what he has done for the people of Zambia and the people of Namibia, so accept our heartfelt condolences."

A number of foreign dignitaries accredited to Namibia, including the United States of America, also visited the mission to offer their condolences.
