The Embassy of China has donated office equipment worth more than a hundred thousand dollars to the Namibia National Liberation Veterans Association.  

The Namibia National Liberation Veterans Association (NNLVA) approached several embassies after identifying gaps in its administrative capacity. 

The Chinese Embassy responded positively and, after a period of engagement, approved and procured the equipment.  

Secretary General of NNLVA, Michael Munyaza, says the donation includes laptops, desktop computers, monitors, printers, cartridges, photocopy paper and media cameras. 

"Fortunate now, payments have been made, and approval of the procurement of these materials was approved. It is a very good gesture to the association, because it is history in the making."  

Munyaza described the support as the first donation of this scale since the organisation was established.

He further said the equipment will help strengthen the administrative functions of the association, which represents veterans of the liberation struggle from all 14 regions of Namibia.
