Namibia's vision of an inclusive and advanced digital and telecommunication landscape is steadily becoming a reality.

The Namibian government is in the process of gazetting the revised National Disability Policy to ensure full participation in development by persons living with disabilities.

Vice President Lucia Witbooi says the policy was revised to align with several national and international legal provisions.

The National Council Committee on Health, Social Welfare, and Labour recommends the decentralisation of psychiatric treatment at state hospitals in the regions. 

The Council visited the state hospitals at Walvis Bay and Swakopmund.
