The Namibia Financial Institutions Union (NAFINU) has raised concerns over the reintegration of the National Student Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF) into the Ministry of Education.

NAFINU says the process has had negative effects on employees.

Former First Lady Monica Geingos says she will not use the title “Doctor” despite receiving an honorary doctorate.

Geingos made the remarks after being awarded an honorary doctoral degree by the University of Johannesburg on Monday, saying she intends to complete her own PhD before using the title.

South Korea, in collaboration with the United Nations World Food Programme, has donated close to 5,000 metric tonnes of rice to support the drought relief programme.

The donation, valued at N$61 million, will be distributed across all 14 regions to vulnerable communities and indigenous groups.
