The Executive Director of the Namibia Institute of Public Administration and Management (NIPAM), Heroldt Murangi, has called on public institutions and state-owned enterprises to improve their communication with the media.

The Namibia Press Agency (NAMPA) launched the Effective Communicators Conference 2026, a platform designed to bring communication professionals together to exchange knowledge, strengthen skills, and explore emerging trends in the communication sector.

The Minister of Information and Communication Technology has urged Public Relations Officers (PROs) from government Offices, Ministries, and Agencies (OMAs) to maintain strong working relationships with the media and to be proactive in providing information.

Public Relations and Regional Community Affairs Officers are expected to maintain and solicit public trust at all times through daily interactions.
