Farmers in Omaheke mark Crop Farmers Day

Despite challenges such as limited resources and unfavourable weather patterns, crop farmers in the Omaheke Region are making some strides in producing enough produce for markets.

Farmers held their annual Crop Farmers Day at Farm Du Plessis in the Okorukambe Constituency.

Farm Bernafay commends government for support

The Chairperson of the Bernafay Community Cooperative, Johannes Jossob, is pleased with the effort and commitment made by the government to assist resettled communities to be productive.

One such community is resettled at Farm Bernafay in the Mariental Rural constituency. 

nbc's Komeheke remembered

Leaders, family, and friends of the late Sagarias Komeheke have described him as a friend to all, someone who was passionate about and always dedicated towards his work, and a top-class informer.

Komeheke, who was a nbc freelancer working at Omurari Radio in Gobabis, died on April 25th, aged 52.

Cyclists raise awareness on significance of Trans-Kalahari Corridor

A group of cyclists from Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa have undertaken a 1,800-kilometre ride to raise awareness about the significance of the Trans-Kalahari Corridor (TKC). 

The cycling initiative is a first step towards the elimination of tariff barriers erected at borders and within countries.
