The family of one of the five survivors of a tragic accident that claimed 14 lives says they remain shocked over the tragedy, attributing her survival to God's mercy.

The number of unoccupied farms in the ||Kharas Region has been reduced from over 30 to eleven over the past 10 years. 

This was revealed by the Deputy Director in the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Water and Land Reform, Albertus Engelbrecht. 

The ||Kharas Communal Land Board has called for the expansion of communal land in the region to ease pressure on existing farming areas. 

The Standing Committee on Urban and Rural Development and Land Reform has commended the Aroab Village Council in the ||Kharas Region for establishing a reception area to address uncontrolled informal settlements in and around the town.

The Governor of ||Kharas Region, Dawid Gertze, has expressed concern over more than 30 allocated resettlement farms in the region that remain lying idle.
