Shopping malls in Walvis Bay were filled to capacity as residents and holidaymakers spent money on gifts and food for Christmas and Family Day festivities.

When driving to the malls, convoys of cars can be seen, and finding a parking spot becomes a challenge.

ǂAo-Daman Traditional Authority nominates new chief

The ǂAo-Daman Traditional Authority has unanimously resolved to nominate Senior Councillor Christofine Classen as the substantive Chief, following the death of the late Gaob Petrus Ukongo.

Classen has been serving as Acting Gaob of the ǂAo-Daman Traditional Authority since June 2024, when Ukongo died.
