One local crop farmer from Epukiro in the Omaheke Region has urged others to stop working in isolation. 

Maria Kathora started her journey on a tiny patch of land back in 2001.

Marginalised communities at Epukiro are set to benefit from the construction of 40 houses and a community garden courtesy of the N/a'an Ku Sé Foundation and the Epukiro Upliftment Project.

Chapman said the borehole will help the community improve their yields and, eventually, their livelihoods.

They also complained about lack of feedback on pending cases relating to stock theft in the area.

The community of Epukiro has over the years faced numerous challenges, such as water shortages and poor grazing land due to persistent drought and poisonous plants. 

The Ovambanderu community is planning to commemorate 100 years of migration to Epukiro settlement in the Omaheke Region.

This was revealed by Chief Ebben Tjozongo Nguvauva of the Ovambanderu Traditional Authority at a media conference in Windhoek.

Omaheke Governor, Pijoo Nganate, is pleased with efforts being made by the residents of Ovinjuru Village in Epukiro, including the set up of modern infrastructure for a preprimary school, an adult education centre, and the community garden project.
