Namibia lifts ban on maize and palm imports from South Africa

The Ministry of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform has lifted the ban on importing and transiting maize, palm, and palm products from South Africa with immediate effect.

The decision follows research into Bud Rot of Palms and Goss’s Wilt on maize, with authorities now confident the risks are manageable.
