The Ongha Vocational Training Centre in the Ohangwena Region received a donation of safety gear and school supplies, aimed at motivating learners and addressing the school's basic needs.

Students, teachers, and parents gathered at the Ongha Vocational Training Centre over the weekend to witness the handing over of safety gear and school supplies.

The donation was made by the school's patron, Nalilongwe Puncky Namundjebo-Shikomba.

Namundjebo-Shikomba assured students and parents of her continued commitment to supporting the institution and carrying forward her late father Eliakim Namundjebo's legacy.

This gesture marks the beginning of further support, as the school's infrastructure and learning equipment require improvements to accommodate more students who wish to enrol at the vocational centre in the future.

The centre's patron, Namundjebo-Shikomba, stated that this donation was motivated by the school's management and the students' discipline in developing their skills.

She also praised the unity experienced among the students.

At the same event, Ongha VTC Director Ismael Hamunyela expressed gratitude to the school's patron, Shikomba, for her vision in making this donation possible, assuring that the resources would be used effectively to benefit the trainees.

Numundjebo-Shikomba stressed to the students and teachers the importance of making the best use of the donated resources, noting that she will visit the school again to monitor its progress.
