The Roads Authority is reviewing its road master plan for the ||Kharas, Hardap, and |Khomas regions to ensure an efficient, cost-effective, and sustainable road transport system.
As part of the reviewing process, stakeholders in ||Kharas Region gathered at Keetmanshoop to provide their inputs on the region's road master plan.
The road master plan is aimed at promoting the socio-economic development of the region and is aligned with the national policies.
It also incorporates the emerging renewable energy sector in the region.
The Governor of ||Kharas Region, Dawid Gertze, officially opened the road master plan consultative engagement facilitated by the Roads Authority.
Participants, including regional councillors, mayors, the |Kharas Region Council's acting Chief Regional Officer, all CEOs of Local Authorities, heads of ministries and government agencies, and regional road board members attended the consultative session.
