The Director of the National Planning Commission, Dr. Kaire Mbuende, has explained that Namibia's sixth National Development Plan (NDP6) builds on lessons learnt from NDP5 and includes consultations from Namibia's fourteen regions and 121 constituencies.

With only four and a half years remaining until Vision 2030, NDP6 is designed to promote sustainable economic growth and address the underlying challenges of poverty, unemployment, and inequalities.

NDP6 is structured into four pillars, nine thematic areas, and 47 focus areas.

The four pillars are: Economic Growth, Transformation, and Resilience; Human Development and Community Resilience; Environmental Sustainability; and Good Governance and Effective Public Service Delivery.
