The Kavango East Region and Mashonaland West Province of Zimbabwe will renew the memorandum of understanding initially signed between the two regions in 2019 for an additional five years.
The MoU focuses on the key issue of poverty eradication through cooperation in identified areas, including good local governance, technical expertise exchange and capacity building, environmental planning and management, small and medium enterprises' development, people-to-people cooperation, food security, and poverty reduction.
The Namibian delegation, comprising local farmers and business owners, and officials from the regional and town councils and the ministries of trade and youth, is being led by the Kavango East Governor, Hamunyera Hambuyuka.
The visit commenced with activities including a tour of a local farm producing barley, wheat and tobacco, among other items. Additionally, the team also visited Chinhoyi Technical High School for a tour of the various trades offered to the learners.
