The Employment Equity Commission (EEC) has summoned 13 Relevant Employers to the National Council Chambers to appear before a review panel due to non-compliance with the Affirmative Action (Employment) Act of 1998. 

Among the 13 employers summoned are Salt Company (Pty) Ltd, Precise Fuel Services cc, Ministry of Higher Education, Technology and Innovation, Shilongo Leathers cc, N/a’an Ku Se Foundation, Inter Africa Security Services cc, and Asco Car Hire & Explore Africa Travel (Pty) Ltd.

They will appear before the review panel, which convenes under section 35 of the Act to conduct hearings aimed at holding these Relevant Employers accountable.

This public hearing, which takes place over the course of two days, supports the objective of the Affirmative Action Act to redress historical imbalances and promote fair and equitable employment practices across all sectors of the economy.
