The Namibia Air Force contingent currently taking part in SADC training and humanitarian exercises in Zambia is proud to be associated with it.
The Group National Contingent Commander, John Kanalelo, has noted significant advancement in this year's training, as compared to the previous one held in Namibia in 2007.
Captain Kanalelo said this year's edition incorporates a hybrid of warfare simulations where insurgencies attempt to choke lines of humanitarian effort.
The exercise has also incorporated the Zambia Flying Doctor Services, and hundreds are getting medical treatment.
Over one thousand troops have been deployed with the Mwandi and Mulonezi districts of Western Province.
The focus is now in Namwala, another place that was badly hit by a drought.
Here, other than skilfully distributing relief food and giving medical aid to the community, the troops have also provided boreholes for safe drinking water.
The local runway has also been rehabilitated.
Operation Blue Lugwasho, under the SADC standing order, is running up to the 27th of September.
