The Namibia National Farmers Union Board Chairperson Vetuundja Kazapua has called upon private sectors in Omaheke to contribute meaningfully towards agricultural-related activities in the region.

Kazapua made this remark during the official opening of the Annual Otjombinde agricultural show at Talismanus.

He is disappointed by the local private sectors, especially financiers and other service providers, whom he says are reluctant to support communal agricultural activities.

He said it is high time they come out in numbers with serious support, as the government alone will not be able to provide the means to everyone.

Kazapua also urged farmers' association leadership to practise transparency and accountability when it comes to financial assistance.
