Zimbabwe's High Commissioner to Namibia, Melody Chaura, paid a visit to local manufacturing company Dinapama, aimed at strengthening collaboration between Namibia and Zimbabwe.

The aim of the visit was to share skills and further collaborate on development aspects.

DINAPAMA's Managing Director, David Namalenga, noted that skills and knowledge exchange create a stronger economy, attractive to global investors.

"Maybe we need to limit the talking. And I ask you to limit the talking, and then we just take action. We should adopt a growth mindset to foster economic growth, which is an opportunity provided by the governments to create an environment that supports all people, especially young individuals."

High Commissioner Chaura said the two governments can join hands to deliver on what is beneficial for both countries' citizens.

"I'm also happy that we had a team from Zimbabwe that was instrumental in establishing and developing Dinapama. It also gives us a great sense of pride. And I do look forward, of course, during my time here in Namibia, to seeing what other areas we can explore to be able to realise the full potential of Dinapama. I also look forward to identifying additional areas for development in Zimbabwe."

Chaura emphasised the importance of partnering in exchange programs, whether they involve skills, ideas, or perspectives.

All these instruments, she stressed, are initiated to facilitate the SADC Development Agenda.

"We want our youth to be in employment. It should be a thing of the past where our youth always see development in the context of the European dream or the American dream. We can create a dream that gives our people hope, whether it is across the sea or across the oceans. That dream can be created here in Africa. That dream can be created here in SADC. That dream can start here in Dinapama."
