The Windhoek Industrial and Agricultural Show has commenced for 2025, attracting farmers, agribusinesses and industry professionals from across the country.

Last year, the show welcomed over 64,000 visitors and showcased over 1,950 animals.

For Bonnie Nieuwoudt, the owner of Bonbonnic Simbres, it is the second time participating in the Windhoek Agriculture Show.

He is fairly new to the game and only started breeding in 2023.

Nieuwoudt said shows such as the Windhoek Agriculture Show play an important role in the farmers' market. He said the show is the only platform farmers get to showcase their livestock, which he says is a lucrative business.

This is the 25th time that Danie Van Vuuren is taking part in the Windhoek Agriculture Show.

He said every year, they strive to bring more animals to compete among the best and deems the show as a good platform for him to market.

Van Vuuren and Nieuwoudt shared the sentiments that although they get opportunities to also participate in expos around the country, they hope the Windhoek Industrial and Agricultural Show will be able to live on for many years.
