The Body of Christ Party (BCP) agrees on the urgent need to pass the Land Bill as a first step toward addressing landlessness in Namibia.
Its president, Festus Thomas, said the tabling of the bill is timely, given the eagerness of all stakeholders to tackle socio-economic challenges.
The Land Bill, if passed into law, seeks to address key issues surrounding communal and commercial agricultural land, with a strong emphasis on equitable access and sustainable management.
Thomas shared BCP’s position on this and several other matters following a consultative meeting with President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and senior leadership at State House on Monday.
During the meeting, President Nandi-Ndaitwah reiterated the Executive’s appeal to lawmakers to urgently pass legislation aimed at enhancing service delivery.
