The Kunene Region has dispatched sensitive election materials to the three constituencies of Kamanjab, Outjo, and Khorixas in Kunene South.

The packages, which include ballot papers and other essential supplies, are part of the region's preparations for the upcoming general election.

The Regional Electoral Officer for Kunene, Mike Nganjone, said the region is well on track to host a smooth poll. 

"All the ballot boxes we have received, as per the teams, as well as for special voting, are all loaded onto the vehicles. Regarding the preparations made by the concerned polling officials, everything is on track. Training took place, and tomorrow we will have a refresher course."

However, he highlighted that the teams still need about 40 additional vehicles to ensure that all materials reach polling stations on time.

The region has a total of 7 constituencies.
