The National Assembly has approved an amount of about N$12.9 billion to be allocated to the Ministry of Finance.
Members of Parliament shared their views and suggestions on the budget prior to the approval of the vote.
Other MPs commended the ministry for its efforts despite limited financial resources.
Finance Minister Ericah Shafudah says the Bank of Namibia has engaged with banks for the reduction of fees and interest charges.
She says State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) annually produce reports indicating how allocated funds were utilised.
The minister also responded to the questions regarding the Youth Development Fund.
"For us in the Ministry of Finance and all the corridors, that is why we have a brand new Executive Director and a brand new project manager. They are all brand new. And because of that, we have the energy to make sure that this fund, this programme, really delivers the results. And that is all I wanted to say there. And we will keep on giving you feedback."
