Mangetti Dune Combined School hosted the annual Mangetti Dune Cluster Cultural Festival, bringing together learners and community cultural groups to celebrate Namibia's rich cultural heritage. 

Participants included the Mangetti Dune Adult Cultural Group, Mangetti Dune Combined School Choir, Mangetti Dune Cultural Group, Rooidaghek Primary School Cultural Group, Omatako Primary School Cultural Group and the M'kata Cultural Group.

The annual Primary Cluster Cultural Festival promotes and preserves Namibia's diverse cultural heritage through song, dance, drama, poetry and traditional performances. It provides learners with a platform to showcase their talents while celebrating diversity, unity and creativity.

"To all the learners and participants, today is your opportunity to showcase your talents, pride and confidence. Remember that culture is not only about competition. We are not only here to compete today; it is about preserving our history and promoting unity," said Menesia Gomis, the principal of Mangetti Dune Combined School.

The festival also aims to promote cultural awareness and appreciation among learners while fostering unity, respect and teamwork among participating schools.

The Senior Culture Officer for the Otjozondjupa region, Faith Matladi, highlighted the broader goals of the event.

"The purpose is to preserve and celebrate Namibian cultural heritage while developing confidence, creativity, and talent in our learners."

At the end of the competition, Rooidaghek Primary School finished in third place, Mangetti Dune Combined School took second place, while Omatako Primary School were the overall winners.

All participating groups received certificates of participation. Omatako Primary School also walked away with the winner's trophy and will represent the Mangetti Dune Cluster at the regional cultural festival.
