The second Namibian National Rhythmic Gymnastics Qualifier got underway on Friday, with nine clubs competing across different levels, from beginners to seniors.

The qualifier brought together rhythmic gymnasts from across the country, competing in various categories and levels.

President of the Namibian Rhythmic Federation, Britt Byl, said they are pleased with the turnout and participation at this year’s event.

“I’m grateful for the turnout. It’s great to see so many gymnasts coming out and competing, and we’re really happy with the participation.”

Among the winners were Amira Tambrescu, who took first place in Level 6, and Meke Brandt, who won the Level 7 category.

“I’m thankful that I won. I worked really hard, and I just want to motivate people to work hard and be confident,” Tambrescu said.

“I’m just grateful and happy to win,” Brandt said.

With nine clubs taking part, the qualifier allows gymnasts to compete at different levels and progress to higher categories.
