The University of Namibia's (UNAM) Katima Mulilo campus has concluded its two-day wellness engagement targeted at its students' overall well-being.

The campus held two separate engagements for male and female students, with the purpose of giving each group an opportunity to freely engage with the various topics presented by field experts and community leaders.

The discussions centred around mental health, personal development, overall wellbeing and setting healthy boundaries.

The women's engagement was held under the theme "Girls Talk: Becoming Her".

The student councillor at the campus, Rita Ngoma, said that the conversations aimed to provide students with the opportunity to discuss the social issues they encounter daily, alongside experts from various fields and community leaders.

Dr Ngoma added that the main goal is to make the event bigger and better, noting that such events are important for the university to find solutions to various ongoing social challenges in the communities it operates in.
