The Office of the Judiciary, in collaboration with the police has extended the amnesty on traffic admission of guilt fines from 1 October 2026 to 30 November 2026.

The extension has been granted in response to overwhelming requests from affected motorists for additional time to settle their outstanding traffic fines.

In a statement, two entities expressed their appreciation to members of the public who have already settled their outstanding fines.

The extension of the amnesty applies to the payment of outstanding traffic admission of guilt fines.

Any outstanding warrants of arrest and further court action will be dealt with by the courts in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Act.

The public is reminded that payments may be made in person at the court where the notice to appear in court was issued. 

Payments will be accepted from Monday to Friday during normal working hours.

Alternatively, payments may be made via electronic funds transfer (EFT) into the designated bank account.
