The Erongo Governor has called for an urgent reform to mining policies to support small-scale miners in the Daures constituency.

Nathalia |Goagoses made this remark during the official opening of the induction and ordination seminar for members of the National Council held at Swakopmund.

The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) and Russia's national TV channel, RT, are in discussions to sign a memorandum of understanding focused on various areas of collaboration within the next few months.

Namibia is poised to deepen its technological partnership with Russia, focusing on digital government systems, cybersecurity, and telecommunications infrastructure. 

This follows discussions on Monday during the 11th session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Engagement.

The Minister of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security, Lucia Iipumbu, said that the ministry is aware of incidents involving cattle rustlers from Zambia who are in the Zambezi Region, as well as allegations of harassment.

Over 70 tonnes of unprocessed rice remain in storage at the Kalimbeza National Rice Project due to processing challenges. 

The recent harvest from seven hectares in February produced 1,304 bags of rice.
